Cocorose London Royal Ballet Capsule Collection
Cocorose London are delighted to announce the launch of their first Royal Ballet Capsule Collection, in partnership with the world-famous Royal Ballet based at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Cocorose London’s exclusive, foldable ballerina shoes with signature, luxury travel purse are presented in a handsome black and silver Royal Ballet branded presentation box.
‘Aurora’, the first of three stunning designs in the capsule collection launched for Spring-Summer 2012, combines nude pink with a dazzling black mesh and diamante bow, to create an enchanting fusion of romance and magical fantasy.
“This is such an incredible opportunity,” says Janan Leo, Cocorose London’s 31-year-old, award-winning Creative Director and Founder.
“I am honoured to be associated with such an iconic, world-class British artistic company. As a huge admirer of The Royal Ballet, it’s a dream for me to be invited to design a Capsule Collection of our foldable ballet pumps and signature purses for them.”
Janan’s inspiration for the capsule collection came from researching the archives of legendary stage and film designer, Oliver Messel, who created some of the most celebrated and lavishly beautiful, romantic and magical costumes of the 20th century. Messel famously designed the sets and costumes for the ballet ‘The Sleeping Beauty’, which was first performed at the Royal Opera House in 1946 and is a signature work of the Company. Cocorose London’s debut Royal Ballet foldable ballet pump, ‘Aurora’, is named after Princess Aurora, lead character of ‘The Sleeping Beauty’.

Cocorose London’s folding ballerina shoes in an exclusive fashion shoot, on location in the magnificent interiors of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Cocorose London’s stylish and uber-comfortable, signature foldable ballet pumps are designed for modern and contemporary women and incorporate elements of functionality, convenience and design aesthetics. Each pair of shoes are presented in Cocorose London’s luxury travel purse, with an accompanying, mini black satin shoulder bag folded into its back pocket – so women can change out of their skyscraper heels or trainers and “Cocorose It” anytime, anyplace, anywhere!
