ASOS, Topshop, Myer, Bally, Lara Bohinc – just some of the international elite chosen to judge WGSN Global Fashion Awards
WGSN Global Fashion Awards is proud to announce an exceptional array of global fashion talent on the judging panel for its 2012 edition, which takes place at The Savoy London on 5th November.
This year’s panel consists of some of the most prominent and influential individuals in the fashion and style industry from around the world with judges from Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Australia, the US and the UK.
Topshop managing director Mary Homer, ASOS product and trading director Robert Bready, Judy Coomber general manager at Australian department store Myer, accessories designer Lara Bohinc and Michael Herz, creative director at Swiss luxury brand Bally are just some of the leaders within their fields featured on the panel.

Entries are still open for the WGSN Global Fashion Awards, which is staged by the world’s leading trend and style forecaster and which recognise fashion design and retail on a world-wide scale. Categories range from best designer for women’s and menswear, best design teams in womenswear, menswear, footwear & accessories, kidswear and denim, as well as best store and e-store.

WGSN Global Fashion Awards 2012 Judges include:
Barbara Horspool – Product Director at Jigsaw and an experienced design and creative director whose expertise ranges from retailing to product development to marketing. She has achieved considerable success from her belief that the creative has clear accountabilities for delivering their part in the financial success of a business. Most recently worked with the likes of New Look, Giles Deacon, Marks & Spencer and Etam France.
Mary Homer – Managing Director at Topshop overseeing its international expansion including the introduction of 81 new International stores during her tenure as well as growing topshop.com to it’s current status shipping to over 30 countries. Mary is a member of the British Fashion Council bringing her unique expertise to London’s emerging designers.
Lara Bohinc MBE – Creative Director celebrated for her unique jewellery designs. Her talent for creating products of timeless modernity has made her one of the most innovative and successful designers of her generation. She was recently awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for services to the fashion industry
Robert Bready – Product Director at ASOS.com with expertise in merchandising for leading high-street brands. Having began his career at River Island where he held a variety of merchandising roles across womenswear and menswear, Robert then spent eight years at The Arcadia Group working across young fashion retailers Miss Selfridge and TopMan, eventuallybecoming a senior executive for Miss Selfridge. In 2005 Robert joined ASOS.com and was soon promoted from Head of Merchandising to Product Director.
Sarah Curran – Founder and Chief Creative Officer of my-wardrobe.com which has become the UK’s leading online retailer of ‘everyday luxury’ designer womenswear and menswear fashion. Offering over 180 leading designers including 3.1 Phillip Lim, Anya Hindmarch, Camilla Skovgaard, Paul Smith, Burberry and Acne. My-wardrobe.com has over 1.4 million global visitorsand and was awarded the Best Customer Experience Award at the WGSN Global Fashion Awards 2011:
