Helen Gordon’s new collection of babywear and accessories is a nostalgic journey into childhood.

Kidswear

The company launched in 2010 with a range of clothing, accessories, interior products and stationery for children, all featuring Helen’s exclusive printed textile designs.

The new babywear collection was developed in response to requests from customers and features Helen’s distinctive fairytale prints on matching babygros, bibs and hats. New to the Accessories range are practical oilcloth bags, changing mats and bibs all in coordinating designs to match the baby clothing. New prints such as Mushroom Forest and Vintage Circus and Gingham Flower have also been introduced to Helen Gordon’s established collection of fun practical clothing that harks back to a more innocent time. Inspired by traditional fairytales and vintage fabrics and books the designs are classic and practical and feature retro patterns a naïve motifs in a striking palette of colours. The fabrics used are all practical and comfortable – heavy weight gingham, denim, needlecord and soft brushed cotton interlock for winter.

Made from quality 100% cotton, many of the products have been made in the UK. Great as gifts and very collectable, they will appeal to children and adults alike.

The collection is a culmination of Helen’s background as a textile designer and buyer for high street brands, and was created in response to Helen’s disappointmnt by the limited range of pattern available when shopping for her own three children.

Quote: “I want to make clothes and accessories that are classic in their simplicity and beautiful in design. But I also want them to be practical and appropriate: young girls shouldn’t be wearing strapless dresses and tiny bikinis. I’ve designed bright clothes which are fun and funky, which evoke an era of simpler childhood and which let kids be kids.” Editor’s Notes:
